Regular Season Round 8: Randers - Svendborg 76-96

Date: November 14, 2018
The game in Randers supposed to be also worth to mention about. Second ranked Svendborg (7-1) played at the court of 5th ranked Randers (3-5). Svendborg did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 96-76. It looked good early as Randers took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Svendborg had a 29-19 second period charge getting the lead and Randers were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 76-96. Svendborg dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Randers' 34. The winners were led by American Jeremiah Ingram (201-93, college: N.C.Central) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Sebastian Petersen (188-95, agency: Dynamics Global Management) supported him with 17 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by American forward Brantley Bynum (196, college: San Francisco St.) did not help to save the game for Randers. His fellow American import forward Stanford Brown (204-90, college: Lamar) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Svendborg maintains second position with 7-1 record behind leader EBAA. Randers lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. Svendborg's next round opponent will be Naestved (#4) at home. Randers will play against Vaerlose and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
