The game in Mersin supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Istanbulgucu (6-2) played at the court of 7th ranked Mersin Uni (3-4). Istanbulgucu smashed Mersin Uni 73-51 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Yagmur Bul (164-96) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay St.) who added 13 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Canadian center Abigail Fogg (196-94, college: S.Dakota, agency: LBM Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and the former international forward Ilkay Masa (186-84, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Istanbulgucu moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Mersin Uni at the other side dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Istanbulgucu will meet at home bottom-ranked Yalova Vip (#16) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Mersin Uni will play against Aci Koleji (#5) and hope to secure a win.
