Yalova Bld can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Yeni Mamak (3-3) 81-74 on Friday. They outrebounded Yeni Mamak 35-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. American forward Kyle Washington (206-93, college: Cincinnati) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Mustafa Basturk (194-96, agency: 1x1 Sports) chipped in 12 points during the contest. Yalova Bld's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Erkan Yilmaz (198-86) with 24 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Erick Neal (178-95, college: Texas Arlington) scored 22 points and 7 assists. Yalova Bld (1-5) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place. Newly promoted Yeni Mamak dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Akhisar Bld and Manisa. Yalova Bld will meet at home bottom-ranked Bandirma Kir. (#16) in the next round. Yeni Mamak will play against Socar Petkim (#9) and hope to secure a win.
