Regular Season Round 10: Hagen BG - Salzkotten 98-85

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Hagen BG (6-3) defeated at home 11th ranked Salzkotten (2-7) 98-85 on Friday. They outrebounded Salzkotten 43-31 including 16 on the offensive glass. Salzkotten was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for Marco Hollersbacher (203-0) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American forward Salathiel Ligons (201-84) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Hagen BG players scored in double figures. Point guard Dominik Wolf (185-94) replied with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Felix Wenningkamp (195-88) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Salzkotten. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hagen BG maintains fourth position in West with 6-3 record, which they share with Grevenbroich and Dorsten. Loser Salzkotten dropped to the twelfth place with seven games lost. Hagen BG will face Recklinghausen (#7) on the road in the next round. Salzkotten will play against Kamp-Lintfort (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
