Regular Season Round 10: Wusterhausen - Aschersleben 85-80

Very predictable result when seventh ranked WSG Koenigs (5-5) won against 12th ranked Aschersleben (3-6) in Wildau 85-80 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. WSG Koenigs forced 22 Aschersleben turnovers and had a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for guard Nico Adamczak (191-90) who helped to win the game recording 27 points. Noe Trenz (195-89) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. WSG Koenigs' coach Michael Opitz used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American point guard Kendal Williams (183-92, college: Delaware St.) replied with 20 points and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and power forward Sebastian Harke (204-81) added 16 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Aschersleben. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. WSG Koenigs moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with 3 other teams. Aschersleben lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. WSG Koenigs will face Bergedorf (#11) in Hamburg in the next round where they are favorite. Aschersleben will play at home against Langenhagen and hope to win that game.
