Regular Season Round 8: Wels - Timberwolves 85-101

Round 8 most important game was a victory of Timberwolves over 8th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels 101-85 on Saturday night. The game without a history. Timberwolves led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Croatian guard Petar Cosic (183-85, agency: Interperformances) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Addison Spruill (193-93, college: NC-Wilmington) replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) added 18 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Raiffeisen Flyers Wels. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Timberwolves (4-4) moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Oberwart. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with UBSC Graz and Vienna.
