Regular Season Round 14: Perlas - Ezerunas 84-85

Bottom-ranked Ezerunas managed to get a third victory on Saturday night. This time they edged ninth-ranked Perlas in Vilnius 85-84. Swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Ernestas Ezerskis (193-87) chipped in 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Ezerunas players scored in double figures. Guard Karolis Giedraitis (194-98) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and guard Augustas Marciulionis (186-2) scored 7 points and 8 assists. Perlas' coach Arvydas Gronskis tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Ezerunas (3-9) moved-up to fourteenth place. Perlas lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. They share it with Gargzdu. Ezerunas will meet at home higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Perlas will play against Silute (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
