Regular Season Round 14: Taurages - Suduva-Mantinga 77-68

The biggest surprise took place in Taurage where host Taurages (5-8) beat league's leader Suduva-Mantinga (9-4) 77-68 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Suduva-Mantinga. Taurages made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Raidas Nacius (198-91) chipped in 17 points. Point guard Gediminas Navickas (180-84) produced 17 points and guard Zygimantas Simonis (192-95) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Taurages moved-up to eleventh place. Suduva-Mantinga at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They share it with Vytis. They were replaced at the leadership position by Palanga. Suduva-Mantinga will play next round against KTU trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Taurages will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Telsiai in Telsiu.
