Important game to mention about took place in Hanau. Ninth ranked Artland Dragons (5-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 16th ranked White Wings (1-9) 90-88 on Saturday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Artland Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Lithuanian power forward Danielius Lavrinovicius (205-99) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: PFW) chipped in 8 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Artland Dragons' coach Florian Hartenstein used entire bench in such tough game. Center Kalidou Diouf (206-94, college: Cal.Baptist) produced 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four Artland Dragons and five White Wings players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rostock and Ehingen. White Wings lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Artland Dragons will face Rostock (#6) at home in the next round. White Wings will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#5) and hope to win that game.
