Everything could happen in Ankara at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Turk Telekom and 7th ranked Acibadem had identical 3-3 record. This time Turk Telekom used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Istanbul 93-86 on Saturday night. Turk Telekom made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American-Israeli swingman Sylven Landesberg (198-90, college: Virginia, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 35 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Serbian center Vladimir Stimac (210-87, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. Turk Telekom's coach Burak Goren allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American power forward DJ White (206-86, college: Indiana) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Can Altintig (195-87) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Turk Telekom (4-3) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Besiktas and Gaziantep. Acibadem lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Turk Telekom will have a break next round. Acibadem will play at home against Buyukcekmece (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
