Regular Season Round 14: Ereliai Mazeikiai - Silute 89-77

We should mention about the upset which took place in Mazeikiai, where higher ranked Silute (7-6) lost to thirteenth ranked Ereliai Mazeikiai (5-9) in a road game 77-89 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Silute. The best player for the winners was Ignas Fiodorovas (196-96) who scored 24 points and 5 rebounds. Center Tomas Zdanavicius (203-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. International Andrius Globys (198-95) produced 15 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Zygimantas Sirvydas (183-94, college: Norwich) added 16 points respectively for the guests. Four Ereliai Mazeikiai and five Silute players scored in double figures. Silute's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ereliai Mazeikiai moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Jonava. Loser Silute dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. Ereliai Mazeikiai will face league's leader Palanga at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
