Regular Season Round 10: Baunach - Ehingen 80-102

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule and 12th ranked Baunach had identical 4-5 record. But Baunach was not able to use a home court advantage and was smashed by the opponent from Allmendingen 102-80 on Saturday night. Ehingen/Urspringschule forced 19 Baunach turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Baunach was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Rayshawn Simmons (192-93, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Two Points) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 assists for the winners. Power forward Kevin Yebo (202-96) chipped in a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. Lithuanian center Tautvydas Slezas (207-90, agency: Interperformances) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) and Estonian Henri Drell (205-0) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Baunach's coach Felix Czerny gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Ehingen/Urspringschule (5-5) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Rostock and Art.Dragons. Baunach lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with six games lost. Ehingen/Urspringschule will face higher ranked Kirchheim Knights (#4) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Baunach will play against the league's leader Chemnitz (#1) and hope to win that game.
