Leading Goetting.ASC (8-2) recorded its second loss in Goettingen. Hosts were edged by thirteenth ranked Bergedorf (4-6) 79-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Goetting.ASC. Marvin Steinberg (200-87) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Steffen Kiese (190-87) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side point guard Marco Grimaldi (188-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Julian Schmidt (196-83) scored 20 points. Four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Bergedorf moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Cuxhaven. Goetting.ASC at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. Bergedorf will play against higher ranked WSG Koenigs (#7) in Wildau in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Goetting.ASC will play on the road against Stade (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
