The game in Gaziantep was also worth to mention about. 4th placed Besiktas (4-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Gaziantep (4-3). Gaziantep managed to secure a 7-point victory 63-56. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Besiktas. It was an exceptional evening for Nigerian center Tonye Jekiri (213-94, college: Miami, FL) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. American-Guyanese forward Delroy James (203-87, college: Rhode Island) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Croatian power forward Ivan Buva (208-91) came up with 14 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Jason Rich (191-86) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Besiktas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Gaziantep moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Turk Telekom and Besiktas. Gaziantep will play against higher ranked Anadolu Efes (#3) in Istanbul in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Besiktas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Galatasaray.
