Regular Season Round 6: P.Olimpija - Rogaska 99-81

There was a change at the Liga Nova KBM leadership position after last games. Round 6 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Rogaska (4-2). They were defeated by third ranked P.Olimpija (4-2) 99-81 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by P.Olimpija. Rogaska managed to win second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-28 free shots (92.9 percent) during the game, while Rogaska only scored nine points from the stripe. Montenegrin center Marko Simonovic (211-99) had a double-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian swingman Aleksandar Lazic (203-96, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five P.Olimpija players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Marko Pajic (205-92) with 17 points and 8 rebounds and international guard Miha Vasl (192-92) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Rogaska. Rogaska will play next round against Helios Suns trying to make it back to the top of the standings. P.Olimpija will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Zlatorog in Lasko.
