Regular Season Round 13: Zolotoi Vek - SumDU 75-95

The game in Kirovograd supposed to be also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked SumDU (3-9) played at the court of 7th ranked Zolotoi Vek (3-7). SumDU did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 95-75. It looked good early as Zolotoi Vek took a 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SumDU took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 20 points. They made 19-of-25 charity shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Vitaliy Ignatchenko (188-91) nailed 28 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Igor Starodub (187-97) accounted for 24 points and 7 rebounds. Forward Olexandr Drobiazko (200-93) came up with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Yuriy Kramar (191-95) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for Zolotoi Vek in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Zolotoi Vek's coach Georgi Stupenchuk rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Despite that victory SumDU went down to seventh position due to points difference. Zolotoi Vek at the other side dropped to the sixth place with seven games lost. SumDU's next round opponent will be higher ranked Mariupol (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
