Regular Season Round 7: V.Knasiaus KM - Perkunas 78-76

There was a change at the U18 League leadership position after last games. Round 7 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Perkunas (6-1). They were edged by fourth ranked V.Knasiaus KM (6-1) 78-76 on Tuesday night. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Perkunas. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Perkunas cut a 15-point halftime deficit to two at the end of the game. V.Knasiaus KM looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a great evening for Oskaras Pleikys (-1) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Arminas Bergaudas (193-1) helped adding 23 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side forward Gabrielius Celka (198-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and point guard Adomas Sidarevicius (186-1) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Five Perkunas players scored in double figures. V.Knasiaus KM have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Siauliu and Perkunas. Perkunas will play next round against strong Siauliu trying to make it back to the top of the standings. V.Knasiaus KM will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Sostines in Vilniaus.
