Regular Season Round 11: Schwabing - Treuchtlingen 101-85

There was no surprise when 8th ranked Treuchtlingen (6-4) was defeated on the road by third ranked Schwabing (6-4) 101-85 on Wednesday. Schwabing forced 20 Treuchtlingen turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-0) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Isaiah Ihnen (205-0) helped adding 31 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) responded with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and swingman Peter Zeis (196-89) scored 17 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Five Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. Treuchtlingen's coach Stephen Harlander rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Schwabing maintains third place in South-East with 6-4 record having just three points less than leader Leitershofen, which they share with TSV Troester and Treuchtlingen. Schwabing will face league's second-placed Oberhaching in Deisenhofen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Treuchtlingen will play on the road against the league's leader Topstar in Diedorf and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
