Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Dorsten and 6th ranked Grevenbroich had identical 6-3 record. This time Dorsten used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Grevenbroich 74-67 on Thursday night. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dorsten made 8 blocks. It was a great evening for American guard Mike Nwabuzor (188, college: N.Mexico Highlands) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Albanian point guard Nderim Pelaj (182-88) helped adding 17 points and 5 assists. Center Nino Janoschek (204-87) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and Croatian-Bosnian forward Marko Boksic (201-93, agency: PEPI SPORT) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. Dorsten (7-3) moved-up to fourth place in West. Loser Grevenbroich dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. Dorsten will face Ibbenbueren (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Grevenbroich will play against the league's second-placed Herford (#2) and hope to win that game.
