Regular Season Round 15: Suduva-Mantinga - KTU 88-62

The game between second ranked Suduva-Mantinga (10-4) and 15th ranked KTU (3-11) in Marijampole on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Suduva-Mantinga outscored guests from Kaunas 88-62. Suduva-Mantinga dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to KTU's 24 and made 21-of-23 free shots (91.3 percent) during the game, while KTU only scored five points from the stripe. Suduva-Mantinga looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for center Edvinas Jezukevicius (207-90) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Justinas Jogminas (198-97) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Suduva-Mantinga players scored in double figures. Matas Ragauskas (189-96) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Gytis Asaciovas (191-0) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for KTU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Suduva-Mantinga maintains second place with 10-4 record having just one point less than leader Palanga. KTU lost their ninth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Suduva-Mantinga will face again bottom-ranked KTU (#15) in Kaunas in the next round which should be another easy win for them.
