No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Telsiai (7-6) beat 11th ranked Taurages (6-8) in Telsiu 65-57 on Friday. Telsiai forced 19 Taurages turnovers. It was a good game for guard Juozas Balciunas (188-94, college: Trinity Christian) who led his team to a victory with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. International Mindaugas Motuzas (202-96) contributed with 11 points for the winners. Forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 12 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Taurages. Telsiai maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. Loser Taurages keeps the eleventh position with eight games lost. Telsiai will face again Taurages (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
