Regular Season Round 9: Bakken - Horsens IC 110-98

An interesting game for Bakken (9-0) which hosted in Risskov 3rd placed Horsens IC (6-3). Leader Bakken managed to get a 12-point victory 110-98. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Horsens IC. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Horsens IC was better in second period 31-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 31-of-41 charity shots (75.6 percent) during the game. Bakken players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. 32 personal fouls committed by Horsens IC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American guard Tobin Carberry (193-91, college: LIU Post, agency: HMS) who scored 31 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). His fellow American import forward Ryan Evans (202-90, college: Wisconsin) chipped in 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Carberry is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian forward Vedran Borovcanin (199-85) who recorded 23 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian forward Stefan Savic (200-95) added 20 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 9-0 record. Horsens IC at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Bakken's next round opponent will be Randers (#5) on the road. Horsens IC will play against the league's second-placed Svendborg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
