Regular Season Round 5: Lemvig - Amager 55-82

The game in Lemvig supposed to be also quite interesting. Second ranked Amager (4-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Lemvig (1-4). Amager smashed Lemvig 82-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Amager led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Amager outrebounded Lemvig 44-28 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Geraldynn Malama (-96) stepped up and scored 33 points (!!!), 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 6 steals for the winners and forward Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) chipped in 13 points, 22 rebounds and 4 blocks. Coach Lars Klussmann's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Aniese Palmore (165, college: Montana-West, agency: S.M.W.W.) responded with 19 points and Makenzie Miller (, college: Wisc.-La Crosse) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Amager. Newly promoted Amager maintains second place with 4-1 record behind leader Horsholm. Lemvig lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Vaerlose and Stevnsgade. Amager will meet Aabyhoj (#4) on the road in the next round. Lemvig will play against SISU in Copenhagen and hope to win that game.
