Regular Season Round 10: BSW Sixers - Schwelm 72-68

Everything could happen in Sandersdorf at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked Sixers and 5th ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets had identical 5-4 record. This time Sixers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Schwelm 72-68 on Saturday night. Sixers had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Croatian center Benedikt Turudic (207-97) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Niklas Geske (188-94) replied with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard Erik Durham (193-94, college: Jacksonville St.) added 14 points in the effort for SG Schwelmer Baskets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sixers (6-4) moved-up to third place in North, which they share with Bochum. SG Schwelmer Baskets lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost. Sixers will face Itzehoe (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. SG Schwelmer Baskets will play against Oldenburg and hope to win that game.
