Bottom-ranked Istanbul BBSK managed to get a second victory, breaking the two-game losing streak. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Banvit 74-71. American guard Tu Holloway (183-89, college: Xavier) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points. The former international power forward Semih Erden (211-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American center Jordan Morgan (203-91, college: Michigan) replied with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) added 7 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Banvit. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Istanbul BBSK (2-5) moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Afyon. Banvit at the other side dropped to the bottom position with six games lost. Istanbul BBSK will play against higher ranked Sakarya BSB (#11) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Banvit will play against Afyon Bld (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
