Regular Season Round 16: Taurages - Telsiai 84-79

An interesting game took place in Taurage where higher ranked Telsiai (7-7) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Taurages (7-8) 84-79 on Saturday. Taurages made 30-of-39 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Forward Raidas Nacius (198-91) fired 26 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. Point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Five Taurages players scored in double figures. Forward Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-91) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Taurages have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Zalgiris II and Perlas. Loser Telsiai dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. They share it with Gargzdu. Taurages will meet at home Ereliai Mazeikiai (#14) in the next round where they are favorite. Telsiai will play against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
