There was no surprise when 14th ranked Kamp-Lintfort (1-9) was outplayed on the road by twelfth ranked Salzkotten (3-7) 96-70 on Saturday. Salzkotten dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Kamp-Lintfort's 18. They outrebounded Kamp-Lintfort 34-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for point guard Dominik Wolf (185-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Swingman Felix Wenningkamp (195-88) helped adding 20 points and 5 assists. Four Salzkotten players scored in double figures. Center Janosch Feige (204-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and Thomas Achtermeier (195-94) scored 11 points. Salzkotten maintains twelfth place in West with 3-7 record. Kamp-Lintfort lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Salzkotten will face higher ranked Hagen-Haspe (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kamp-Lintfort will play against Hagen BG (#7) and hope to win that game.
