Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Baunach (4-7) lost on the road to leader Chemnitz (10-0) 88-71 on Saturday. Chemnitz looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Baunach's players. American forward Kavin Gilder-Tilbury (201-94, college: Texas St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import guard Matt Scott (193-96, college: Niagara) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Daniel Keppeler (205-97, college: Regnitztal) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian guard Matej Jelovcic (185-98) added 17 points in the effort for Baunach. Four Baunach players scored in double figures. Baunach's coach Felix Czerny rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Chemnitz have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-0 record. Baunach lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Chemnitz will face bottom-ranked White Wings (#16) in Hanau in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Baunach will play at home against Schalke and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
