Regular Season Round 16: Neptunas-Akv. - Ezerunas 68-75

An interesting game took place in Klaipeda where higher ranked Neptunas-Akv. (8-7) was upset on its own court by fourteenth ranked Ezerunas (5-9) 75-68. Strangely Neptunas-Akv. outrebounded Ezerunas 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for swingman Kostas Jonuska (195-92) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Arnas Berucka (196-97, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Center Vytautas Sarakauskas (204-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks and Tadas Pazera (194-98) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Neptunas-Akv.Ezerunas have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Jonava. Neptunas-Akv. lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. Ezerunas' next round opponent will be higher ranked Gargzdu (#8) in Gargzdai and it may be quite challenging game. Neptunas-Akv. will play on the road against KTU in Kaunas and hope to win that game.
