Regular Season Round 8: Grosuplje - Medvode 67-87

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Grosuplje (1-7) was crushed at home by tenth ranked Medvode (3-4) 87-67. The game without a history. Medvode led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Medvode forced 19 Grosuplje turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Grosuplje helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by point guard Dejan Buncic (177-77) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 assists and point guard Stefan Tovilovic (189-99) supported him with 22 points (perfect from downtown making all six shots !!!). Medvode's coach Andrej Bozic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 4 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists by swingman Luka Snoj (200-90) did not help to save the game for Grosuplje. Swingman Rok Savic (195-98) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Medvode moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Plama Pur. Grosuplje lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Medvode's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Sezana at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Grosuplje will play against Troti (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
