Regular Season Round 11: Ehingen - Kirchheim 86-84

There was a surprise result when ninth ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (6-5) edged 4th placed Kirchheim Knights (6-5) in Allmendingen 86-84 on Saturday. Ehingen/Urspringschule made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Power forward Kevin Yebo (202-96) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Rayshawn Simmons (192-93, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Two Points) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 assists for the winners. American guard Rohndell Goodwin (195-91, college: Chaminade) answered with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Phillip Daubner (204-94) added 23 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) in the effort for Kirchheim Knights. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ehingen/Urspringschule have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Rostock and Kirchheim. Ehingen/Urspringschule will face Uni Baskets (#9) in Paderborn in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kirchheim Knights will play at home against MLP Academics Heidelberg (#8) and hope to win that game.
