Regular Season Round 10: FC Bayern II - Loewen 74-85

There was an upset when higher ranked FC Bayern II (6-4) lost to eighth ranked Loewen (4-6) in Muenchen 74-85 on Saturday. Quite impressive performance for American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Maximilian Kuhle (184-91) contributed with 23 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Viktor Frankl-Maus (186-93) replied with 15 points and 4 assists and Jannick Jebens (199-98) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for FC Bayern II. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FC Bayern II's coach Demond Greene let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Loewen maintains eighth position in South with 4-6 record, which they share with Coburg. Loser FC Bayern II dropped to the third place with four games lost. Loewen will face higher ranked Wuerzburg (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. FC Bayern II will play against Giessen 46ers II (#10) and hope to win that game.
