Regular Season Round 11: Oberhaching - Bamberg 82-79

Sixth-ranked Bamberg (5-5) gave a tough game to second ranked Oberhaching (9-1) in Deisenhofen on Sunday. Oberhaching managed to secure only three-point victory 82-79. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bamberg. The best player for the winners was center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: Mont.St.-Billings) who scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo, agency: Dynamics Global Management) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Boyer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Point guard Kevin Jefferson (175-96) produced 27 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) added 11 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. The victory was the third consecutive win for Oberhaching. They keep a position of South-East leader, which they share with Leitershofen. Loser Bamberg keeps the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Oberhaching will meet Schwabing (#4) on the road in the next round. Bamberg will play against TSV Troester and hope to secure a win.
