Regular Season Round 11: Tuebingen II - Karlsruhe SC 45-75

Very significant was Karlsruhe SC's (#3) 30-point road victory against 4th placed Tuebingen II in South-West 75-45. Karlsruhe SC forced 23 Tuebingen II turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for center Eyke Prahst (209-97) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds. American-Ghanian guard Bright Mensah (193-92, college: William Pater.) accounted for 16 points and 7 steals for the winning side. Four Karlsruhe SC players scored in double figures. Rouven Hanig came up with 6 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Nils Schmitz (186-1) added 12 points respectively for Tuebingen II in the defeat. Tuebingen II's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Karlsruhe SC. They maintain third place in South-West with 7-3 record having just two points less than leader Leitershofen. Tuebingen II at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Saarlouis/Dillingen. Karlsruhe SC will play against Kaiserslautern (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tuebingen II will play against HAKRO Merlins II (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
