Everything went according to plan when first ranked Junior Loewen (6-1) outplayed 8th ranked Junior Loewen (3-4) in Breitenguessbach 116-42 on Sunday. Junior Loewen dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Junior Loewen's 40. They outrebounded Junior Loewen 48-36 including 37 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Junior Loewen was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Nicholas Tischler (198-0) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Estonian Henri Drell (205-0) contributed with 21 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Five Junior Loewen players scored in double figures. Point guard Damjan Milutinovic (183-0) answered with 15 points and Lorenz Sagebiel (193-0) added 8 points in the effort for Junior Loewen. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Junior Loewen. They maintain first place in Group 3 with 6-1 record, which they share with TenneT Young. Junior Loewen lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Junior Loewen will face Akademie (#8) in Wuerzburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Junior Loewen will play at home against Falcons and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
