Regular Season Round 6: Horsholm - Stevnsgade 83-75

Dameligaen top team - Horsholm (6-0) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Stevnsgade (1-5) 83-75. It looked good early as Stevnsgade took a 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Horsholm took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Stevnsgade to just 4 points in fourth quarter. International forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) scored 17 points to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian forward Meg Wilson (188-94, college: Simon Fraser) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Horsholm's coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was forward Mathilde Colding-Poulsen (176-95) with 14 points and the former international forward Hanna Sheikh (180-92) scored 16 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Horsholm have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 6-0 record. Stevnsgade lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with five games lost. Horsholm will play against Lemvig (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Stevnsgade will play against Herlev to get more than just one victory in their record.
