Regular Season Round 10: Cankaya - Istanbulgucu 77-51

TKBL top team - Cankaya (10-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Istanbulgucu (6-4) in Ankara 77-51. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Istanbulgucu. Cankaya players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Nilay Aydogan (180-92, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) supported her with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five Cankaya players scored in double figures. Even 17 points and 7 assists by guard Sumeyya Ozcan (160-97) did not help to save the game for Istanbulgucu. American center Tearra Banks (188-95, college: Austin Peay St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds for lost side. Istanbulgucu's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Cankaya have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Istanbulgucu at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Bursa BSB. Cankaya will play against Istanbul U.G (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Istanbulgucu will play against Aci Koleji (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
