Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked TV Langen and 13th ranked Mannheim had identical 3-7 record. This time TV Langen used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Mannheim 91-64 on Saturday night. TV Langen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim's 18. They outrebounded Mannheim 45-27 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Christopher Edward (201, college: Concordia, OR) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds and forward Ruben Spoden (202-89) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-92) with 13 points and 7 rebounds and guard Benjamin Kaufhold (185-89) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TV Langen (4-7) moved-up to eighth place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams. Mannheim lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with eight games lost. TV Langen will face league's second-placed Speyer on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
