Very expected game in Berlin where 15th ranked ALBA-2 (1-11) was defeated by tenth ranked Aschersleben (5-6) 72-57 on Saturday. Aschersleben forced 21 ALBA-2 turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aschersleben especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kendal Williams (183-92, college: Delaware St.) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and French guard Jordan Aboki (190-93) who added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Joshua Luebken (211-0) with 15 points and 7 rebounds and Erik Penteker (183-2) scored 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Aschersleben maintains tenth position in North with 5-6 record, which they share with Vechta II. ALBA-2 lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth place with 11 games lost. Aschersleben will face league's second-placed Wolmirstedt at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ALBA-2 will play against Langenhagen (#4) and hope to win that game.
