Not a big story in a game when 5th ranked Schwabing (6-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Oberhaching (10-1) 89-80 on Saturday. Oberhaching outrebounded Schwabing 46-34 including 31 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Czech point guard John Boyer (185-88, college: Buffalo, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and point guard Janosch Koegler (190-93) who added 17 points during the contest. Boyer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Oberhaching players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-0) with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Isaiah Ihnen (205-0) scored 8 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Oberhaching have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of South-East leader, which they share with Leitershofen. Loser Schwabing dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Oberhaching will face Herzogenaurach (#4) on the road in the next round.
