There was a minor upset when 9th ranked Coburg (4-7) was defeated on the road by eleventh ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (3-8) 86-78 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Coburg's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Zygimantas Riauka (205-93, college: Wisc.-Parkside) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Kwan Waller (183-89, college: Ky Wesleyan, agency: Slash Sports) helped adding 21 points and 6 assists. Guard Dino Dizdarevic (193-95) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Five Coburg players scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf maintains eleventh place in South with 3-8 record. Loser Coburg keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face again higher ranked Coburg (#9) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
