There was no surprise when 10th ranked ALBA Berlin (1-9) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked TG Neuss (4-5) 81-77 on Saturday. TG Neuss dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to ALBA Berlin's 38. TG Neuss forced 22 ALBA Berlin turnovers. American guard Dara Taylor (172-91, college: Penn St.) fired 24 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals for the winners. Power forward Britta Worms (188-88) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Four TG Neuss players scored in double figures. Noemie Rouault (182-95) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds and guard Lucy Reudd (177) added 18 points respectively for lost side. ALBA Berlin's coach Moritz Schaefer rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. TG Neuss moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with BG 89 Avides. ALBA Berlin lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. TG Neuss will face league's leader Osnabrueck SC at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. ALBA Berlin will play against the league's second-placed B.Loewen (#2) and hope to win that game.
