Important game to mention about took place in Joniskis. Third ranked Delikatesas (10-5) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Gargzdu (8-7) 90-88 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Gargzdu. Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) scored 31 points to lead the charge for the winners and Mantvydas Zukauskas (193-98) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and the former international Simonas Serapinas (197-82) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Gargzdu's coach Simonas Serapinas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 10-5 record having just two points less than leader Palanga. Newly promoted Gargzdu dropped to the seventh place with seven games lost. They share the position with Telsiai. Delikatesas will play against Vytis (#4) in Sakiai in the next round. Gargzdu will play at home against the league's second-placed Suduva-Mantinga and hopes to get back on the winning track.
