Regular Season Round 12: Saarlouis/Dillingen - Kronberg 81-76
Date: December 1, 2018
Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Saarlouis/Dillingen (7-4) beat at home 8th ranked Kronberg (4-7) 81-76 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of center Alexander Diederich (204-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and center Nicholas Burgard (208-94, college: Northern NM) who added 19 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Saarlouis/Dillingen players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Jim Augustin Gietz (180-0) with 22 points and 9 assists and Daniel Medo (197-95) scored 17 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Saarlouis/Dillingen maintains fourth position in South-West with 7-4 record. Loser Kronberg keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. Saarlouis/Dillingen will face league's leader Koblenz on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kronberg will play against Tuebingen II (#5) and hope to win that game.
