There was an upset when higher ranked Tuebingen II (6-5) was defeated at home by tenth ranked HAKRO Merlins II (4-7) 72-65 on Saturday. HAKRO Merlins II outrebounded Tuebingen II 48-34 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Greek forward Antonis Sivorotka (204-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and British forward Joshua Guddemi (201-94, college: New Haven) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four HAKRO Merlins II players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Rouven Hanig with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-0) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. Tuebingen II's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. HAKRO Merlins II moved-up to eighth place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams. Tuebingen II lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with five games lost.
