There was an upset in Hamburg where higher ranked Stade (6-6) was defeated by twelfth ranked Bergedorf (5-7) 84-68 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Steffen Kiese (190-87) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and center Markus Timm (204-88) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Bergedorf players scored in double figures. Bergedorf's coach Bjoern Fock used an eleven-player rotation saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Spanish point guard Francesc Iturria (180-96, college: Culver Stockton) with 16 points and 5 assists and American forward Reco McCarter (198-90, college: Campbell) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Bergedorf maintains twelfth position in North with 5-7 record. Loser Stade dropped to the fifth place with six games lost.
