Regular Season Round 11: Schwenningen - OrangeAcademy 75-74

Important game to mention about took place in Schwenningen. Second ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (8-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked OrangeAcademy (6-5) 75-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of OrangeAcademy. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to OrangeAcademy's 22. It was an exceptional evening for Bill Borekambi (198-92, college: Sequoias CC) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Bulgarian swingman Sergey Tsvetkov (196-88, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Four BV Villingen-Schwenningen players scored in double figures. Power forward Nils Mittmann (201-79) came up with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Till Pape (206-97) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for OrangeAcademy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted BV Villingen-Schwenningen maintains second place in South with 8-3 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Iserlohn. OrangeAcademy at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with FC Bayern II. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will play against Loewen (#8) in Erfurt in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. OrangeAcademy will play at home against Giessen 46ers II and hopes to get back on the winning track.
