Regular Season Round 11: Itzehoe - BSW Sixers 74-75

A very close game took place in Itzehoe between Sixers and Itzehoe. Fourth ranked Sixers (7-4) got a very close victory on the road over 8th ranked Itzehoe (5-6). Sixers managed to escape with a 1-point win 75-74 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Itzehoe. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 22 points. American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Flavio Stueckemann (188-85) produced 17 points and 6 assists and center Stefan Schmidt (207-89) added 10 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Sixers and five Itzehoe players scored in double figures. Sixers moved-up to third place in North. Loser Itzehoe dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Bernau and Dresden. Sixers will meet SSV Lok Bernau (#7) on the road in the next round. Itzehoe will play against Oldenburg and hope to secure a win.
