Regular Season Round 11: Cluj Napoca - Satu Mare 54-70

Date: December 1, 2018
Bottom-ranked Cluj Napoca (0-5) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 70-54 loss to second ranked Satu Mare (5-2) in Cluj Napoca. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Cluj Napoca was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Satu Mare players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American-Armenian center Brittany Denson (190-87, college: S.Florida, agency: Two Points) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists. Nigerian-American guard Promise Amukamara (173-93, college: Arizona St.) accounted for 16 points, 9 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Satu Mare's coach Doba Marius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Nicolett Orban (190-0) came up with 6 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Arlesia Morse (178-93, college: Marquette) added 17 points respectively for Cluj Napoca in the defeat. Satu Mare maintains second place in Nationala with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Sf.Gheorghe. Cluj Napoca at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
