Regular Season Round 12: Bamberg - TSV Troester 81-84

Very predictable result when third ranked TSV Troester (7-4) edged on the road 10th ranked Bamberg (5-6) 84-81 on Sunday. They outrebounded Bamberg 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. TSV Troester looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Bamberg was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of center Erik Land (205-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Timo Dippold (182-97) who added 21 points during the contest. TSV Troester's coach Johannes Laub used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) scored 20 points. Four Bamberg players scored in double figures. TSV Troester have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position in South-East with 7-4 record having just three points less than leader Leitershofen. Bamberg lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with six games lost. TSV Troester will face Schwabing (#5) at home in the next round. Bamberg will play against Muenchen OSB (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
